What is Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)?

Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is making content easy for AI answer engines to find, use and cite. Early research found quotations, statistics and sources helped pages already chosen as sources. Later studies and Google's 2026 guidance agree the bigger levers are being indexed, relevant and verifiable. VuloPilot scores six GEO signals on every page.

Questions

Generative Engine Optimization: frequently asked questions

GEO makes your content easy for AI to use. AEO focuses on being picked as the answer to a specific question. VuloPilot has a view for each.

No. The six checks measure whether a page is easy to understand and quote. AI engines first have to retrieve the page, so indexing, crawler access and relevance to the question come first, and nobody outside the AI companies can see how they choose sources.

Not for Google. Google says its AI features use normal ranking and need no llms.txt, AI-specific markup or rewrites. VuloPilot lets you edit llms.txt because some other tools read it, but treat it as optional.

No. When VuloPilot proposes a change you preview before and after, then approve or reject it. Approved changes can be undone from the History page.

VuloPilot has a free plan with core scans and 100 AI credits. Paid plans start at $19 a month for one site.
